QUESTION 1. - General opinions about the event

    Information prior to the event

    Arrangements

    Comments from respondents:
  • I understand that the organisers had worked very hard to run this years Christimas party but still need to imporve. It is not but money, but the emotional taking from the party that counts . This year, I did not get any of this. In general, I felt that the Scandinavian party was organised with rush or with poor planning. Last year's party of much more exciting and oraganised. There was more Scandinavian colour to it and very importly I saw smiles in everyones face.
  • Once again a great party!
  • This is like a repeat of last year. I cannot find any fault at all. I just wish other European CCJ's could do it so well.
  • Thank you again, it was a great night.
  • Perfect, as usual! Even though 5 hours is a long time for a party like this, I wished it was even longer. Time flies when you're having fun I guess. Otsukaresama deshita!
  • The best Xmas party ever, and how grateful to have such a wonderful organising committee! Nice to forget the everyday gloom during a happy evening. And it worked out just fine without the Lucia thing.
  • It was a Christmas Party, meaning not stiff like some other events, which is refressing. We should have a Cigar room, rather just a standing smoking room.
  • 中里さま 大きなパーティーの準備・実行、お疲れ様でした。 来年も楽しみにしています。
  • There was not enough time to prepare for kanpai this year. Many people's glasses were empty for the toast. Live music was good, but the sound was too big. It was not night club.
  • Missed the LUCIA! Otherwise the party was very good.
  • My first Scandinavian Christmas Party, and I was thoroughly impressed. The juggler was a bit too childish for my liking but the other entertainment was excellent. Music very good. Well done!

  • QUESTION 2. - The Venue

    Facilities

    Access

    Some comments from respondents:
  • Excellent Access.
  • Excellent access but do not have to be Westin. I am sure that there are other places that can offer better services than Westin and willing to do more for Scandinavian Society.
  • Attitude/service of staff of the Westin Hotel was not so good. Should be improved.
  • This is my/our first participation and Westin Tokyo is generaly good.
  • It is a pretty convenient location. We could explore places like the Conrad, Four Seasons, etc.
  • The hotel should provide good training to their staff.
  • It would be preferrrable if the location would be a little more closer to the nearest station.
  • My first time, but Westin is good, even with designated smoking room.

  • QUESTION 3. - The Program

    Lotteries

    Other Program

    Comments from respondents:
  • The dancing music was loud as it should be but it also made it a bit difficult to communicate and mingle to meet old friend or establish new, so a more less noisy corner could be an idea for next year.
  • The program had no energy like last year's party and I felt it was less organized with people coming late. I saw some guests yawning during the party which of course is not a good sign. There was nothing particular about Scandinavian just people presenting it in their own language. The Lotteries contained some difficult to use items (pre-lotteries) and was far from Christmas gift.
  • Missed the St. Lucia with the kids and the juggling act was a bit over the top (selskapsreisen).
  • Juggling attraction is very enjoyable.
  • Nice enterainment.
  • Always a good party/event, but the juggling was a bit off the norm. The Hitmen was, once again, fantastic as always.
  • Combination of Other type of music and dance would be acceptable.

  • QUESTION 4. - Food & Beverage Service

    Variety/volume

    Quality

    Comments from respondents:
  • Volume was good but quality was bad compared to last year's party. There were like/dislike for every meal. It could be best just to have a normal course dish with a little hint of Scanavian taste to it. Beverage need to have more variety including soft drinks.
  • The sheep soup was too smelly and filling. Could use more wine at the table.
  • The main course (wild boar) was the only part of the evening that I found disappointing.

  • QUESTION 5. - Participation fee

    Comments from respondents:
  • A little smaller costs would be welcommed.
  • If it's company expense it's reasonable, but ...

  • QUESTION 6. - Preferred venue in 2010?

QUESTION 7. - If your schedule allows, would you particpate in the next Christmas Party?
