About the Scandinavian Christmas Ball

The Nordic Chambers of Commerce in Japan have organized a joint Christmas Ball since 1993. Started by the SCCJ, DCCJ, and Norwegian Business Forum (currently the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce), the Finnish Chamber joined in 1999 and in 2003 the Icelandic Chamber joined the ball, thereby making the Nordic unity complete.


The Ball is organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCJ), the the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (DCCJ), the the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (FCCJ), the the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ISCCJ), and the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ).

  • Who can participate?

    The Ball is open to all members of the five chambers and their invited guests. As the number of particpants is limited to 320 due to space restrictions, it is possible that a quota may need to be invoked for each chamber.

    What is the cost?

    The particpation fee is 21,000 yen for members and their guests.

    The fee includes everything - great food, a large variety and volume of drinks, enjoyable and exciting entertainment.
    And, all participants are automatically included in the drawings for a lot of great prizes. You do not need to buy lottery tickets.
