  About the Scandinavian Christmas Party

Background

The party has existed since 1993. First by the SCCJ, DCCJ, and Norwegian Business Forum (currently the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce). The Finnish Chamber joined as organizers in 1999 and in 2003 the Icelandic Chamber joined the party, thereby making the Nordic unity complete.

Organizers

The party is organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCJ), the the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (DCCJ), the the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (FCCJ), and the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ).

The committee, selected by the organizing chambers, in charge of the planning and practical arrangements consists of:

  • Jacob Hjaere, DCCJ Executive Director (Cafe Daisy)

    Who can participate?

    The party is open to all members of the five chambers and their invited guests. As the number of particpants is limited to 470 due to space restrictions, it is possible that a quota may need to be invoked for each chamber.

    What is the cost?

    The particpation fee is 17,000 yen for members and guests.

    The fee includes everything - great food, a large variety and volume of drinks, enjoyable and exciting entertainment. And, all participants are automatically included in the lotteries, no need to buy lottery tickets.
