The social highlight of the year of the Nordic Chambers in Japan, the Scandinavian Joint Christmas Ball was held on Wednesday, 7 December 2016 at our regular venue, The Westin Tokyo Hotel in Ebisu, where the party has been held also in 2005-2009 and 2011-2015. The party was attended by 277 members and guests from the five Nordic Chambers of Commerce in Japan. By chambers the SCCJ had 146 participants, DCCJ 31, FCCJ 50, ISCCJ 28 and NCCJ 22.
The ball started with greetings from the organizing committee, followed by a Lucia procession and a much appreciated gospel performance by the Tokyo Baptist Church Choir.
Santa paid a visit to the Ball, assisting in the many lotteries and doing a "photo session" with a large number of participants.
The evening was ended off with a lot of dancing until midnight, first by "Abban", a ABBA tribute band in Tokyo and then to the tunes of Brad and the Hitmen, our favorite band for more than 10 years (since 2003).
