The assembly apporved some changes to the Articles of Association; number of board members was increased from 10 to 12 with no limitations on period served, the requirement for board members to have lived in Japan for more than one year was also removed and the Annual General Assembly can be held in March of April (before only March.
 The meeting also confirmed the election of four new members to the Board of Trustees; Marutei Tsurunen, Member of the House on Counsilors, Isamu Maeda of Metso-SHI Co., Ltd., Toshinori Umezawa, Corporate Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Forest Products & General Merchandise Div. of Marubeni Corporation and Timo Varhama, President of UPM-Kymmene Japan KK. As new auditors were elected Veli-Matti Lahti, President of NetHawk Inc. Japan and Yoshimichi Sano of Seiwa Accounting Services Inc. The General Assembly also approved the activity and financial reports for fiscal 2004 as well as activity plan and budget for 2005. The membership fees remain unchanged, 150,000 yen for corporate members and 20,000 yen for individual members. |
